The STEM Librarian is responsible for leading and implementing programs and services that support the full lifecycle of research and learning for faculty and students in Physics, Optics, Astronomy, and Mathematics. As a member of the Research Initiatives department, the STEM Librarian also contributes to projects and initiatives that advance the River Campus Libraries’ (RCL) research strategies.

The incumbent will work closely with faculty, students, and staff in Physics, Optics, Astronomy, and Mathematics to understand, anticipate, and fulfill the research and learning needs of these communities and to communicate key information about the library and its services. The Librarian will maintain and apply a strong working knowledge of specialized research methodologies and data needs unique to STEM fields and provide expertise to the Scholarly Resources & Curation team to ensure relevant and high-quality collections are in place to support faculty and students.
