We are seeking a focused and detail-oriented individual to assist with metadata gathering, scanning, file manipulation, and data input for a project that is digitizing our collection of epigraphic squeezes from the ancient Mediterranean. This project aims to make these resources available to the broader scholarly community through open access.
A successful applicant will be sufficiently competent in ancient Greek to read the text of the epigraphic squeezes, and in Latin to read major publications such as Inscriptiones Graecae; additionally, they will be familiar with digitization and imaging procedures, comfortable with manipulating images in Adobe Photoshop, and familiar with the file structure of Microsoft Windows. THIS IS A ONE YEAR, PART TIME POSITION (15 - 20 HOURS PER WEEK).
