The Special Collections Cataloger is responsible to the Head of Cataloging for providing original and complex copy cataloging for manuscripts and published materials including, rare books, serials, artists’ books, and broadsides in multiple languages, formats, and time periods for materials in the Special Collections Libraries. The Special Collections Cataloger serves as a resource person in the area of special collections cataloging both within the Cataloging department and in other areas of the Libraries. This position is based out of the Special Collections building and supervises a Special Collections Cataloging specialist position. The Special Collections Cataloger participates in the Cataloging Department management group and GIL Coordinating Group, and works closely with members of Special Collections and the Cataloging department.
