Description
The University of Georgia (UGA) Libraries seeks an innovative, service-oriented individual for the position of Digital Library of Georgia (DLG) Program Lead. The successful candidate will manage DLG projects, outreach, and the network of stakeholders and contributors. This faculty Librarian position reports to the Director of Discovery and Digital Services; participates in professional activities; and serves on library, university, and statewide committees.
The position will serve as the primary point of contact for all DLG activities. This role will build and maintain relationships within the state archival and cultural heritage communities; collaborate closely with state organizations like GALILEO (Georgia’s Virtual Library) and Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS); manage DLG projects; engage in outreach and training efforts; help to pursue outside funding for digital collections activities; be an active participant in the national archives and digital collections communities; and serve on Library, campus, regional, and national organizations and initiatives.
UGA librarians are non-tenured faculty members.
