The National Gallery of Art is seeking a Library Technology and Systems Architect to:
- Manage museum library systems, data, and hardware efficiently, effectively, and securely
- Develop and utilize relationships and professional resources to continually improve system architecture, workflows, integrations, and configurations
- Pursue opportunities to test and deploy new technologies for describing, digitizing, exploring, and delivering library collections in traditional and innovative ways
- Provide expertise and guidance that creates a confident culture of technical literacy within the library through instruction, documentation, and open exchange of ideas
This position will represent the library across the institution in enterprise IT matters and initiatives, especially those related to integration, authentication, data and system security, federal contracting, AI, analytics, and dashboards. Awareness of current developments in cultural heritage collection metadata, digital humanities, linked open data, Wiki initiatives, and the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) is very highly preferred.
