This position oversees a comprehensive preservation program for the University of Texas Libraries, encompassing digital preservation, digitization, digital archives support, and traditional preservation.
The University of Texas Libraries seeks a collaborative, highly motivated individual to lead Preservation & Digital Stewardship. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Stewardship, the Head of Preservation & Digital Stewardship is responsible for growing and administering a comprehensive preservation program for the University of Texas Libraries.
The Head of Preservation & Digital Stewardship collaborates with content curators and other relevant stakeholders in the organization to address preservation needs across the University of Texas Libraries collections. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with the preservation of the range of formats found in academic libraries, as well as strong technical skills and successful hands-on experience in digital preservation.
