- Coordinates the digital content management system in the Visual Resources Library, which hosts over 280,000 images and special collections used in teaching, research, and publication.
- Develops workflows and processes work orders in consultation with the department’s Visual Resources Librarian and faculty.
- Scans, analyzes, prepares, and applies metadata to images that support student and faculty teaching, research and publication.
- Develops and communicates policies and procedures; creates and maintains documentation.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
- A bachelor's degree in a related area.
- Four years of library experience.
- Requires one or more of the following: computer skills, special skills, subject expertise or a proficiency in a foreign language.
- Master’s or PhD degree in Art History or Master's degree in Library and/or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program
- Four years active experience working with digital imagery
- Knowledge of image-oriented software essential
- Knowledge of archival standards and digital preservation strategies desirable
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
