Reporting to Monographic Cataloging Team Leader, the Cataloging and Collection Integration Project Lead is responsible for managing a limited duration project to assess and integrate the library collections of the former Concordia University Portland into the collections of the University of Oregon Libraries. The Project Lead will exercise a high level of leadership and discretion to coordinate the assessment of collections to determine retention and disposition, batch load bibliographic and item level data, and oversee the physical processing of collections. This will require the ability to analyze the project and develop workflows, as well as strong problem-solving skills to independently manage complex troubleshooting of cataloging data.
The person in this position directly supervises 1-2 student employees and assists in directing the work of additional student employees. This position collaborates significantly with library colleagues at both the UO Portland White Stag campus and the Eugene campus, which includes Knight Library and branches, to set priorities and lead the coordination of work.
This is a full-time, one-year position based in Portland, Oregon, that requires the work to be done entirely onsite (i.e., is not eligible for a remote or hybrid schedule).
