The New School is a private university in New York City comprised of five colleges: Parsons School of Design, Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, the College of Performing Arts, The New School for Social Research, and the Schools of Public Engagement. The New School Archives and Special Collections, a unit of The New School Libraries and Archives, acquires, preserves and provides access to a broad range of archival and rare materials that document the history of all New School divisions, as well as materials that illuminate the lives and work of people and organizations in a range of subject areas that intersect with the interests of New School students and faculty, with a special strength in 20th century American design. Our collections range in size from a single item to many boxes of records and an ever-increasing number of born-digital files.
