Description

The University Library’s Emerging Technology Lab Coordinator develops and manages resources, policies, and activities that pertain to emerging technologies in King Library, especially those connected with King Library’s Virtual Experiential Reality Lab (KLEVR Lab). The incumbent works with faculty, staff and students in the library and on campus to develop curriculum and programming for these areas. The incumbent also supports research and scholarly activities utilizing a variety of emerging and innovative technologies and participates in grant funded activities related to these areas. The incumbent develops policies and guidelines for the use of devices and lab; manages equipment and inventory, and provides advice on budget, purchasing of equipment, and space renovation in collaboration with SJSU IT and other library departments.
The Coordinator hires, schedules, trains and supervises student assistants, and monitors annual student assistant budget allocation and/or grant funding allocations for student research assistants.
